Rollercoaster Madness!
Jon and Keith see the BEAST!
November 3rd was a holiday here in Japan (Culture Day), so that meant NO WORK! It was the perfect oppertunity to do something fun, and what's more fun than rollercoasters??? So we made a 3 hour trip out to Nagashima Spaland-- home of the tallest, fastest rollercoaster with one of the crasiest drops-- The STEEL DRAGON 2000. The mid section of the Steel Dragon.
(this is also the first part we saw up close as we entered the park.)
Matty trying to recover his game thingy after it flew out of his pocket when
we were fliped upside down on the Giant Frisbee.
The remaining members of the Asian Nation-
are they fighting? Does this mean the Asian Nation will truely be no more?
Think Rich and I have been in Japan too long?
We're doin the peace sign-- we really have become Japanized.
Ultra Twist
That's the first drop- it starts really weird because the climb is straight up
but the cart is sidways so your back and not your feet are facing down.
That's part of the Ultra Twist track- that's the tail end--
you come backwards down to the start of the ride.
Car 6 of the Ultra Twister. The car stays on the track but the seats are fixed
independent of the track so it flips and rotates throughout the ride.

White Cyclon
That's one of the longest wooden coasters in the world.
It's a bit of a bumpy ride but not as bad as other wooden coasters I've been on.
Steel Dragon at dusk
This was just a loop ride but you get shot out at an insainly fast speed,
the car then goes through the hoop and up a track only to come down
backwards through the hoop- past the start point up a ramp before returning.
